Phil Bloom hosted these videos on his site a little while ago but if you missed them they're a nice little intro to lighting for DSLRS

I've been using FCPX since it came out and i love it, but i haven't been using it for big projects as it's been a little buggy. Hopefully this new update will help with that. Among other things it comes with support for external monitors, editable photoshop layers and mutlicam editing, but most excting are the plug-ins such as 7toX, i havent tried it yet but apparently you'll be able to update FCP7 timelines. Time to have a play

I'm excited that this camera exists but i'm not interested in buying one, too expensive and i think they'll get a lot of feedback before the next model comes out. I also hope this is the first of a fleet of cinema range EOS cameras and that one of them will sell for less that 5k
Great video though, worth 15 mins of your time

A slightly intimidating competition that opens in Feb for a month. The winner will be handed a grant at next years Bieannale festival by Ridley Scott.
I've never done anything i would feel confident enough to submit into something like this... time to get to work

We've had a lot of problems recording audio onto Canons so far, i know a lot of people swear by their VideoMic pros. I've not been a fan due to the lack of audio out or level controls (on my 550d). Thats why i bought a juiced link
This is interesting though, you can record audio onto an SD card or the camera, i'm betting its going to have a big mark up though

Except it has a built in lens and uses a 1/2" sensor... not useful for me but good to see a push for 4k as standard
